We are an all-volunteer organization whose singular mission is to promote and preserve local history! 

Your fully tax-deductible gift will allow us to expand our programs and make more people aware of the value of Petaluma's amazing historic districts and neighborhoods. 

• We Bring History to Life by developing and presenting walking tours and special events that entertain and educate in unforgettable ways!  
• We use education to raise awareness of the value of our history, historical districts, and unique neighborhoods filled with an amazing array of historical homes of many styles. 
• We promote community involvement by including everyone to participate in events and activities that create awareness of historic events, places, and people.

DONATE: The Petalumans of Yesteryear have made education of history and awareness of the unique historical qualities of Petaluma their purpose for over 25 years.Our programs now include information about the diversity of Petaluma in the earlier years of it’s development.

•  Look for  “ History Spot” information around town and treat yourself to a self-guided tour at your leisure. 
• Try something new! Take a Petaluma History Paddle on the Petaluma River… see our town's history from a unique perspective!
•  Join the fun! Take part in a Murder Mystery Dinner, using historic characters, and delve into local history while enjoying a meal with friends!
• Explore Petaluma's historical districts! Take a walking tour (or several, each is unique!)  and learn about the colorful characters who have called Petaluma home through the years! 

We are reaching out to other historic societies and groups to gain further knowledge of the history of North Bay Counties , form new friendships and to foster collaborative efforts on behalf of our communities. .
